Located 250km from Colombo in the district of Monaragalla and within the premises of the Pelwatte Sugar Plantation Industries. The rally consists of all gravel stages with a complete distance of totaling about 200km of special stages. This rally is considered the best gravel surface within Sri Lanka. The first rally was held in 2002 and since then held every year in the month of January at which time the sugarcane fields are free from harvest and other routine work. |
