The track is located about 130km away from Colombo and in the North Central province of Sri Lanka. It has an altitude of about 300m from sea level. The inaugural meet was conducted in 2010 during August. However this annual event, from 2011 is expected to be conducted during the first 4 months of the year to avoid the heavy monsoon rains which makes the track very muddy and slippery. The meet is organized by SLARDAR and is part of the National GT Championship and SLADAR Championship. About 10,000 spectators are seen every year. |
